They don't call him "Tremendous" for nothing!!
Talk about a man who has touched a lot of lives, they don't call him "Tremendous" for nothing. Charlie talks about his "mistakes, his laziness and his six little bread snappers." Charlie is a rare find and one of a kind. From a former insurance salesman to a devoted man of God and book reader Charlie leads by example. During the interview I felt as if I had a connection with him almost like he was my grandfather. Charlie passes along so many great book recommendations that there are too many to transcribe in this review.
One of the many things that I did learn from this interview is that a year from now the only thing different will be the people we meet and the books we read. Charlie's philosophy fits into My Success Gateway's philosophy, or should I say it is the other way around, MSG fits into his. Get a mentor or a coach, expand your extended network and invest in yourself. It doesn't get much closer than that with anyone we have interviewed.
Charlie gives us the story behind how he got the name "Tremendous." Charlie has had more failures than successes, however he says that people will always be remembered for their successes. As of 2007, Charlie has been selling for 76+ years. He was man of the year in 1950 because everyone else quit. He learned 2 words in his youth, "I will." He has had himself in so many jams and has always been able to get out of it by "growing through it."
All we can learn from is the principle that when things go wrong we can use them to build us up. He talks about business cards. People throw them away, even while you are still there. He stamped his name inside a classic mini-book like, As a Man Thinketh, by James Allen. He made millions and millions of dollars by leaving books behind.
Charlie talks about The Secret and his active role in Pass it On, the movie. Quit trying to improve yourself, he says. Work on serving others. When you get a great book pass it on to others, share the wealth and wisdom.
This is a "Tremendous" interview with a Tremendous man in the twilight of his life. Charlie gives his ALL during this interview, tap into some of his wisdom.
